The program commences on July 22nd, however, you’re free to use media as you normally would during that day. All media detox programs at Liara Academy incorporate an introspective period before and after the detox phase. This allows you to assess how your media consumption influences your mental well-being. To aid in this process, you’ll receive an introspective questionnaire at the end of the day.
On July 23rd, we officially embark on the detox! A comprehensive list of restricted and permitted activities will be provided. The objective is to abstain from social media, streaming services, television, radio, podcasts, newspapers, and video games. However, you may continue to utilize internet and technology services like Gmail, WhatsApp, and Google, as long as you avoid consuming media content. Throughout this phase, you’ll receive two daily emails – one in the morning with suggestions on how to fill the time without media, and one in the evening with a daily introspective questionnaire. On July 28th, we’ll gather for a group coaching session (45 minutes) to discuss mindful media consumption and your experiences during the program.
Finally, on July 30th, we enter the final phase of the program, where you can resume media usage. You are free to use media as much or as little as you like. At the end of the day, you will complete the final introspection questionnaire, reflecting on any changes you’ve noticed in your media consumption habits, such as increased satisfaction or decreased stress.
